Tough Love
Set:When you are playing a sport, teammates are the most important people with you on the court or field. Sometimes it’s hard to love them, and it can be even harder to stand up for what you believe in when you are around them. The devil is always around, wearing a disguise, making it harder for you to stand up for your beliefs. He can even be wearing the same jersey as you.
I learned this lesson during my basketball season. I was the newbie, the one no one knew. On the day of tryouts I only knew one other girl. Yes, I saw the others in the hall, but I didn’t talk to them. It was hard to start a new season with only a couple real friends.

Deciding Your Future
Plot of Skit: People are sitting on a fence and Jesus and Satan are at opposite ends of the fence. Jesus says, “Come and follow me.” to the first person on the fence. That person asks, “Why should I?”. Satan gives reasons to come with him while Jesus combats Satan with the Word of God and reasons to follow Him.

One Of A Kind
Separate students into smaller groups of 4-8, preferably in a circle configuration. Call on mature student or adult leaders to facilitate each small group through this experience.
Instruct each person in your group to think of one unique thing about him or herself that no else would know and write it on a piece of paper. Collect the papers and mix them up. Read each unique thing aloud and challenge students to guess who it is about. Continue until all the facts have been guessed.

Center of Attention
Her name is often stretched across the headlines of sports pages around the nation: Courtney Paris, University of Oklahoma All-American. Of course, it’s hard not to talk about an athlete who frequently adds to her growing list of NCAA records, which already stood at an astonishing 16 at the beginning of her senior year.
But unlike many egocentric players who drool at the mention of having their name in print, Paris remains unfazed. Yes, it comes with the territory, but to her it is “irrelevant.” She is too focused to get caught up in the hype surrounding achievements. She knows her most significant accomplishments won’t ever be listed in press clippings. Rather, they are humbly imprinted on the lives of those she influences.
